SEASCAPE REFITS (SSR) 'Sea scape refits' is the title of an ongoing series of mixed media constructions (wood/metal/plastic/canvas and paint). The works exist on the perimeters of paintings,prints and even sculpture but Manners considers to be paintings. The sea scape in the title refers to the tradition of British Seascape painters from Turner to Nicholson and Scott. The refit refers to the modular system of panels from which the works are made ; the panels themselves resembling the actual 'stuff' of the sea and coast - in material, colour and texture.
